Are you using this GOLD MINE of content ideas?
Community offers an endless stream of conversation topics
Hosting your own community can be a lot of work, but it does make one task significantly easier: content creation.
We all know the value of content when it comes to building your audience – some of whom will love what you share so much, it will entice them to join your community.
Good content gets inside your ideal client’s head and answers the questions they have, meeting them with practical ideas and actionable solutions.
It’s what convinces them that your community is where they’ll find what they need. It leads them not just to join, but to be excited about joining.
Now, I don’t know about your crystal ball, but mine’s pretty cloudy. “Customer research” and “getting inside your ideal client’s head” are definitely easier said than done.
Well, once you open the door to members this job becomes significantly easier. The conversations in your community are a GOLD MINE of content ideas.
Want to know what questions are troubling your ideal member?
They’re the same questions your current members are asking inside the community.
Your members are like your own super-relevant focus group. Their struggles, concerns, and opinions are likely representative of the struggles, concerns, and opinions of your audience.
Marketers call this “Voice of Customer.” When you use it as the foundation for your emails, social media posts, and workshop topics, you’ll soon attract people whose profiles align pretty well with your existing membership.
Not only is this the most effective way to create relevant content, it’s also a super efficient use of your time and energy.
You already put in the effort to give your member a detailed answer. Now you just need to tweak that answer a little bit to turn it into a new post, article, or reel.
Your audience won’t trust you with their money until they believe you can help them. Relevant content is how you prove your expertise and build that trust.
And assuming you want more members like the ones you already have, what’s relevant to people in the community is what’s relevant to people you want in the community.
Keep mining those gold nuggets,
